William A. Malcom

William A. Malcom, 60 of Zanesville, died 9:30 PM Monday, July 26, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born Sunday, October 2, 1949 in Zanesville, the son of William R. Malcom and Viola Mae (Embrey) Malcom and was Catholic By Faith. William received his Bachelors Degree from Ohio University and his Masters Degree from The University of Virginia. He retired as an educator and teacher at Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA. And also taught is Ohio and Kentucky.
William is survived by his mother: Viola (Jim McQuaid) Malcom of Zanesville; one son: William C. (Sara) Malcom currently surviving in the U.S. Air Force; one sister: Rebecca D. (Mike) Stager of Boise, Idaho; one brother: Mark A. (Sherry) Malcom of Delaware; four nephews: Josh Stager, Mickey, Ryan, and Mason Malcom and five great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Heather.
Visitation will be 9:30 AM till 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM with Pastor James Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The John McIntire Public Library in William's memory.
